Legislative Advocacy –In 2005, we led efforts to pass the law requiring all schools to open after Labor Day. In 2008, we helped pass a law that provided $30 million in tourism promotion funding for the state's 2009 fiscal year. That enabled "Pure Michigan" ads to go on national cable TV from March 29 to June 30. Now we must fight to make such funding levels permanent.
